At Lil Jumpin Frogs Preschool, children learn through play, hands-on experiences, exploration, creativity, and purposeful learning. Our small class size allows for individualized attention while helping children build confidence, independence, friendships, and a love of learning.
We use The Creative Curriculum® along with Minnesota’s Early Learning Standards to support the whole child and prepare children for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Our days naturally incorporate early math, literacy, science, STEAM, and fine motor skills through activities such as counting, sorting, patterns, shapes, letter recognition, early writing, storytelling, problem-solving, experiments, and hands-on discovery.
Children also explore creative arts and music through painting, drawing, sculpture, crafts, clay, weaving, instruments, music, and movement.
Outdoor experiences are an important part of our preschool program. Children have opportunities for nature walks, gardening, water play, seasonal exploration, and observing plants, animals, and the world around them.
We help children develop the skills they need to thrive at school and beyond, including communication, problem-solving, sharing, cooperation, independence, taking care of their needs and belongings, and building positive relationships with others.
Our classroom extends into the community. With our safe Sprinter van and small group size, children have opportunities for weekly activities, outings, and field trips to places such as the library, Taekwondo, dance, apple orchards, pumpkin patches, police and fire stations, local parks, splash pads, and other community experiences. These real-world experiences encourage curiosity, independence, social skills, and meaningful connections between what children learn and the world around them.
As a mom and childcare provider, Leah genuinely loves the preschool years. She creates a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to be themselves while growing at their own pace.
At Lil Jumpin Frogs, our goal is more than preparing children for kindergarten. We want to help them become confident, curious, capable little learners who are excited to discover what comes next.
